The 24th annual Appomattox Court House National Historical Park and Longwood University Seminar will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023. This FREE seminar will run from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm in the Jarmam Auditorium on the Longwood University campus in Farmville, Virginia. Parking is available in the Wheeler Lot at the corner of High Street and Griffin Blvd.


The theme will be "Old Battlefields, New Parks" and will include the following speakers and topics: John Quarstein -- Big Bethel; Greg Mertz -- Cedar Mountain; Daniel Davis -- Brandy Station; Caroline Janney -- Lee's Army After Appomattox, and Patrick Schroeder -- April 7, 1865 Actions in Cumberland County. Lunch is available at the Longwood University Dining Hall and Upchurch Student Union. No reservations necessary.
